Cast Recording To Be Released!
We are thrilled to announce that the original cast of The Hatpin
has spent two days in the recording studio on the 26th and 27th
of March, 2008 recording the Original Cast Album of The Hatpin.

The hugely successful World Premiere of The Hatpin wrapped up on
the 15th of March 2008. The season has been received incredibly
by both the audiences and critics. We are currently exploring options
for seasons of The Hatpin around Australia in 2008.

It has now been confirmed that The Hatpin will have its premiere
season at The York Theatre in Sydney in Feb / March 2008. More details

After the intitial workshop, work has continued on the development
of The Hatpin, including several new songs
The new version of The Hatpin is going to be given a reading in
Sydney on Monday the 7th of May. This is an important step in the

by the developments that are happening with the show at the moment.
This website will be a place where information on the show can be

THE HISTORY
The Hatpin was written in late 2005 by young Australian writers
Peter Rutherford (Music) and James Millar (Book & Lyrics).
On the 24th of November 2005, a workshop presentation of The Hatpin
occurred at the Seymour Centre in Sydney.
